MSLO Picks Robinson to Head E-Commerce Effort

       

       

NEW YORK-Michael Robinson has been named to the newly created post of vice president of e-commerce at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (MSLO).

The move puts Robinson in charge of building out MSLO’s e-commerce presence. This includes the website the company is developing jointly with J.C. Penney, part of the agreement announced in December through which the retailer and MSLO will create in-store Martha Stewart shops along with the site. He reports to Lisa Gersh, MSLO’s president and chief operating officer.

Before joining MSLO, Robinson was head of e-commerce for Europe and the United Kingdom for Anthropologie. An MSLO statement credited Robinson with launching Anthropologie’s catalog and website, and for taking leadership of the brand’s cross-channel marketing and introducing its retail loyalty program.

Prior to his work with Anthropologie, Robinson served as a retail consultant and in managerial and planning positions with Smith & Hawken and Banana Republic.
