NEW YORK—Macy’s and Target will open their doors throughout the country at midnight on the upcoming Black Friday, Nov. 25.
On behalf of Macy’s, Terry Lundgren, chairman, president and chief executive officer, said the early openings will be “a response to our customers’ eagerness to shop early for great deals.” Among the specials Macy’s will offer on Black Friday are 40 percent off select regular-price coffeemakers, tea kettles and espresso makers; the Cuisinart 7-Cup Food Processor for $68.99; and the KitchenAid Classic Stand Mixer for $179.99 (after a $20 mail-in rebate).
In addition to opening early on Black Friday, Target said it would extend store hours throughout the holiday shopping season. Stores will be open on Black Friday from midnight to 11 p.m., from 7 a.m. to 7 or 8 p.m. on Dec. 24 and from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Dec. 26.
“The holidays bring hectic schedules and tight budgets,” said Tina Schiel, Target’s executive vice president for stores, “so extending store hours and offering lots of additional ways to save makes Target a great choice for affordable, one-stop holiday shopping.”
