BOSTON–Joss & Main announced the promotion of Paul Toms to general manager.
In his new role, Toms will lead day-to-day operations and drive Joss & Main’s growth strategy in the flash sale market. Prior to his promotion, Toms served as senior director of marketing for Joss & Main, leading member acquisition, member engagement and product development.
Toms succeeds John Mulliken in the general manager position. Mulliken, a co-founder of Joss & Main, remains as the senior vice president of strategic initiatives and strategy of Wayfair.com, Joss & Main’s parent company.
“Paul has been instrumental in building Joss & Main’s membership to more than 5 million [members] in just two and a half years,” Mulliken said. “As we stake out our position as the number one private-sale site in the home space, putting someone with Paul’s capabilities in this leadership role sets us up to take on new business opportunities and drive our brand forward.”
Before joining Joss & Main, Toms spent five years at Wayfair.com developing core business units in analytics, digital advertising and customer segmentation.
In other Joss & Main news, Mitra Morgan, the retailer’s chief curator and co-founder, left the company in July.
