CONSHOHOCKEN, PA.-IKEA is set to release its newest catalog in August, which will include reduced prices on many popular items, an expanded emphasis on sustainable practices and new collections, including a kids' line called Torva.
Among the items that IKEA has lowered prices on are its popular Billy bookcase, which will now retail for $49.99 instead of $59.99; the Tobias chair, now $79.99 instead of $99.99, and the Jansjo floor/reading lamp, now $29.99 instead of $69.99. It also expanded such categories as LED lighting.
The new catalog will also debut the Torva collection, which encourages kids to think about the environment and sustainability. Having launched as a book -- "Heroes in the Vegetable Patch" -- in April, the collection now includes textiles that include the characters of the book and have a vegetable patch theme, such as broccoli and carrot decorative pillows.
