MATTHEWS, N.C.-Charles Gibson, executive vice president of supply chain for Family Dollar, has left the retailer to pursue other interests, effective today.
A successor has not been announced. According to a Family Dollar spokesman, those executives who had been reporting to Gibson will report to Michael Bloom, president and chief operating officer, until a successor is named.
Howard Levine, Family Dollar’s chairman and CEO, credited Gibson for overseeing the growth and development of the retailer’s supply-chain network. “We appreciate the contributions Charlie has made to the company’s success, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” Levine said.
