Francis, Chief Marketing Officer, Leaves Target
MINNEAPOLIS-Michael Francis, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Target, has left the retailer.
Francis had been with Target for more than 25 years. In January, along with his marketing responsibilities, he was named to oversee the company's brand extension into Canada, after Target had announced it would be purchasing the leaseholds on Zellers locations north of the border, preparing for the opening of its first Canadian stores beginning in 2013.
A brief statement issued by Target this morning did not name a successor.
