Ernst & Young Cite Hayneedle's Nielsen as Regional Entrepreneur of the Year
MINNEAPOLIS and OMAHA, Neb.-Doug Nielsen, co-founder and CEO of Hayneedle, has been named Entrepreneur of the Year for the upper Midwest region by Ernst & Young.
The award goes to "high-growth entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities," according to an Ernst & Young statement. The region consists of companies in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. Nielsen now joins other regional award winners in the competition for several national categories as well as for the national Entrepreneur of the Year, the winner of which will be announced in November.
