Chandler Tabbed as Belk EVP of Operations
CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Belk has named Mark Chandler executive vice president of operations.
Reporting to Johnny Belk, president and chief operating officer, Chandler has assumed responsibility over the retailer's supply-chain, inventory-management, strategic-sourcing and overall retail operations. He has succeeded Ron Shealy, who retired earlier this year.
Before joining Belk, Chandler was senior vice president of supply chain for Price Chopper Supermarkets/Golub Corp. He also held executive positions with Kurt Salmon Associates in its grocery and consumer-packaged-goods division, and with Exxon as information technology systems manager, retail district manager and retail/wholesale pricing director.
