AmericasMart to Combine Gift, Gourmet and Apparel Markets

       

       

ATLANTA–AmericasMart Atlanta will present an all-encompassing buying environment as it premieres the Fall Gift & Home Furnishings Market and Atlanta Gourmet Market together with the Atlanta Apparel Market for the first time next month.

The combined markets will produce a “one-stop shopping experience” to retailers and present opportunities for buyers to discover categories outside their traditional merchandise fields, according to a statement from AmericasMart, which is offering 400,000 square feet of area rug products, 600,000 square feet of home furnishings, fine linens and accessories, and 500,000 square feet of holiday, floral and home décor.  The Fall Gift & Home Furnishings Market and the Atlanta Gourmet Market will be held Oct. 14-16, 2011. The Atlanta Apparel Market takes place Oct. 13-17, 2011 (Temporaries: Oct. 13-16).
   
A keynote panel luncheon entitled,  “Southern Charmed: The Benefits to Business in the South” and sponsored by Atlanta Magazine, will feature experts in Southern home, gift, gourmet and apparel industry. Panelists include apparel designers and retailers Sid and Ann Mashburn; interior designer Bob Brown; Style editor, co-founder of Paper-Cut Project and author of Recipe for Press, Amy Flurry; founder and editor of Bearings, Jeremy Blume, and celebrity chef Linton Hopkins. The luncheon will take place on Sat. Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Building 3, Floor 15, Fashion Penthouse.

Other educational seminars, events and entertainment are planned.
