PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.–250Lloyds.com, a new members-only home furnishings site, plans to be up and running as of today.
Focusing exclusively on home furnishings products, the site is also introducing several sales formats. In addition to the daily flash sales, 250Lloyds.com is hosting trunk shows and atrium events, both of which are intended to help home furnishings companies build brand awareness and establish long-term relationships with shoppers.
Trunk shows feature hand-picked merchandise from one or two vendors and last up to 30 days. Atrium events last up to 90 days and are designed as mini-e-commerce outlets within the site.
Eric Bauer, a veteran of the home furnishings industry, serves as director of vendor relations. Senior buyers include Vicki Bauer and Steve Grobe, both of whom have served as home furnishings buyers for other retailers. 250Lloyds.com is a subsidiary of BLVD Ventures, which is creating an integrated online and mobile-commerce platform and a portfolio of industry-specific social e-commerce ventures.
