With the new year comes new and expanded showrooms for several rug exhibitors at the Atlanta International Area Rug Market, the majority of which will be seen in Building 1 at AmericasMart.
On Floor 3 of Building 1, Kaleen has doubled its showroom, 3-C-9, to more than 6,000 square feet. “This expansion allows Kaleen a stylish and elegant, yet fully functional setting for Kaleen’s ever-expanding product assortment,” said Joe Barkley, executive vice president of Kaleen. “The objective is to provide our guests with a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere to view Kaleen products.”
Karastan has also expanded and remodeled its showroom on the third floor, in space #3-A-1, which is now more than 7,000 square feet. The expanded space allows the company to fully support several new line extensions and showcase a broader, deeper product mix.
Concepts International is back at AmericasMart on Floor 3 with a 1,200 square-foot showroom. Home and More has also taken a space on that floor.
On Floor 4, Aminco, Inc., a company with more than 50 years’ experience in Oriental carpet, is returning to AmericasMart with a showroom.
On Floor 5, Amer Rugs has moved its showroom to space 5-D-2, which is three times its former location at 6,500 square feet. The company will celebrate the new space with promotions, prizes and entertainment throughout market.
Safavieh has added a 3,000 square-foot space across the aisle from its current 13,000 square-foot Floor 5 showroom to present its line of home furnishings.
Home Accents Alliance will debut a showroom on Floor 5.
Surya plans to double its presence at AmericasMart next month, with the unveiling of its new 13,500 square-foot showroom, 11-A-1. Formerly on the rug-only sixth floor of Building 1, the new showroom is now among home accessories exhibitors on the 11th floor of Building 1. Besides rugs, Surya also offers decorative pillows, throws, poufs and wall art.
“We’re excited about this expansion,” said Satya Tiwari, president, Surya. “The larger space on the home accessory geared 11th floor will allow us to showcase a complete range of Surya’s lifestyle products in a more convenient location.”
In Building 2, accent rug maker Jellybean will open its first AmericasMart showroom, located in Building 2W on the seventh floor, number 787A, for market, presenting the complete Jellybean line to retailers by featuring category-specific vignettes and Jellybean rug fixtures.
Magnet Works Ltd., whose product line includes doormats, has expanded its showroom on Floor 9 of Building 2 WestWing.
