ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J.-LG Electronics will debut the redesign of its LG Hom-Bot Square robotic vacuum at next week’s International CES show in Las Vegas.
The product is now designed with LG’s Corner Master technology, an advanced feature that encompasses improved sensors and longer brushes, the combination of which enables the robot vac to clean in hard-to-reach places. The technology includes ultrasonic and infrared sensors to detect obstacles, and the Dual Eye 2.0 cameras which scan and map rooms, even when the lights are turned off. Also part of the new design is Turbo Mode settings, which allow users to manually adjust the vac to best match their flooring, and the Smart Turbo Mode, which automatically changes its own settings based on the flooring type.
Other features of the LG Hom-Bot Square are Voice Guidance, which includes more than 90 voice alerts and updates on its cleaning progress; and SmartDiagnosis technology, which enables the vac to help self-diagnose malfunctions or problems and then inform users with a voice alert. In addition, the improved lithium ion battery offers a longer life cycle than conventional batteries, with up to 100 minutes of running time.
