WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-Some 600 bed, bath, linen and home fashion vendors--fromestablished brands to market newcomers--will participate in New York’s winter edition of Home Textiles Market Week, Jan. 25-31, 2013.
The market incorporates four venues: NYIGF at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94; 230 Fifth Avenue; and 7 W New York. Market Week activities also include buyer-directed educational seminars, special events and promotions at each location.
"All four market venues work together to offer retailers seamless access to hundreds of new and returning suppliers,” said Christian Falkenberg, NYIGF director and GLM vice president. “Educational seminars, industry events and buyer promotions are additional market-friendly components of this busy week.”
At NYIGF, At Home featuring Home Textiles at the Javits Center presents some 200 suppliers of mid-to-high-end bed and bath fashions, such as table linens, kitchen textiles, towels, decorative accessories, area rugs, window treatments and decorative fabrics. Newcomers include Cornell (bedding, table linens, home accessories); Bonjour of Switzerland (bedding); Eric & Christopher (pillows); Green Living Organics (bedding);Manito Linens (bedding and loungewear); MS Designs Inc. DBA La La Mel (pillows); Simple Life (bedding); Tabula Rasa (throws); and Tulu Textiles (bedding, pillows, accessories).
In addition, At Home featuring Home Textiles at the Javits Center welcomes another seven companies, either relocating from other NYIGF divisions, or returning to NYIGF following a hiatus from the New York Market: Darzzi International (throws, cushions, pillows, baby); European Art Design (table linens); Lili Alessandra (bedding, pillows, table linens); Maine Woolens (blankets, throws, baby blankets); Nameeks (bath accessories); Pomegranate Inc. (table linens, kitchen accessories); and Turkish-T (bath towels, beach towels, resort).
At 7W, new textiles tenants include: BBJ Table Fashions (table linens); Hellenic Rugs (area rugs); Louis Hornick & Co. (pillows, bedding and window treatments); Peking Linen (gift, pillows and bedding); and Shanghai Sunwin Industry (gift, bedding, pillows, sleepwear, fashion apparel, children).
Textiles tenants expanding their showroom space at the 7 West New York building include: IMG Marketing (pet fashion accessories and bedding); Adams & Hartford (gift, pillows and bedding); Cosmic, Inc. / Teodora Design (gift, pillows and bedding, pet fashion accessories); Creative Bath (bath collections); Sam Salem & Son (pillows and begging); and Surya Rugs (area rugs).
At 230 Fifth Avenue, new textiles tenants include Better Trends (braided rugs); EKE USA (bedding, pillows, towels and bathrobes); and H&M Home Designs (window treatments and curtains).
Several educational seminars and social events will supplement Market Week activities. Buyer focused events and amenities at 7W include complimentary lunch vouchers on selected days, a buyer’s lounge with complimentary coffee, periodicals, hi-speed internet and goodie bags, showroom specials (including International and Made in the USA day), product launches, extended shopping hours and promotions. 230 Fifth Avenue will offer complimentary breakfast and lunch, promotional giveaways and showroom receptions.
