ROSEMONT, Ill.-With three months to go before its opening, the 2013 International Home + Housewares Show is 97 percent sold out, according to a statement from the International Housewares Association, the show’s owner and operator.
The show is expected to have more than 2,100 exhibitors from around the world, including 400 companies that are exhibiting for the first time. The 2013 edition will feature the return of some notable companies that have been absent from the show for several years. These include Jarden Consumer Solutions; Spectrum Brands, parent of Remington and Russell Hobbs; Oreck; Fortessa; Fuller Brush; SC Johnson; and Stanley Products.
Phil Brandl, IHA president, said the association is “encouraged” by the return of these companies. “With the economy showing signs of growth, the demand from exhibitors for space in the show has been unprecedented,” Brandl said.
