NEW YORK–Alessi is hosting a Christmas campaign that supports building a family home in the Democratic Republic of the Congo for abandoned children.
For every product purchased worldwide between Nov. 1 and Dec. 24, Alessi will donate one euro to help build the home in Kinshasa.
Seven years ago Alessi partnered with Ai.Bi Amici dei Bambini to support structured initiatives and launch concrete projects to aid children brought up in institutions as they wait to be reunited with family in war-torn countries.
“At the beginning, philanthropy was just something that we liked doing, something that fit with our family and company culture,” said Michele Alessi, managing director. “Over time it has assumed an increasingly important role also from a strategic point of view, further committing the company to the support of charitable causes. This year we have taken another step forward with the creation of a branded campaign—Alessi for Children—and the launch of a campaign to involve all of our customers, all over the world, in the project.”
