MADISON, Wis.-The Remington brand has entered the U.S. women’s hair accessories market with a line of basic-to-trend hair accessories, accessory storage items and brushes for both adult and teenage women.
A statement from Spectrum Brands, Remington’s parent company, said the hair accessories have already gained placements at U.S. retailers. The brand is also seeking to enter the women’s hair accessory markets in Europe and Latin America with this line.
The brand has entered this category to enhance Remington’s position as a one-stop resource for hair styling for women of all ages, the statement said. Drew Fiorenza, Remington’s global vice president, said, “With our brand positioning of ‘How the World Gets Ready,’ we have a unique opportunity for cross-promoting our hair accessories with complementary segments of our business, such as hair-care appliances, and even with other adjacent beauty categories by co-merchandising in stores and offering in-pack trial samples or coupons for discounts with purchase.”
