Now in its 25th year, the Hong Kong Houseware Fair held last month had exhibitors from more than 32 countries and regions, and products were introduced in a number of categories. Here are some of the highlights, which are also included in the video currently running on hfnmag.com.
From Taiwan, Han Ko Worldwide bowed products under its TD brand, including lighting, housewares and tabletop.
Design students from Hong Kong Polytechnic University created eco-friendly products for their BioHome project, including the EcoWarmer, an outdoor table and heater that collects power from its solar panel; and the DryAd, which helps dry clothes using solar energy.
Antevanilla added curved cutting boards to its line of fun products, which includes its Acrobat gadget series.
The three in one cutting board from Lexington Living includes one large cutting board with non-slip grip feet and two flexible cutting mats.
The ancient tradition of henna was the inspiration for Tales’ Henna Tattoo ornamental wall panels, which show colorful patterns in relief. Tales is a brand from Artilize Worldwide.
Offering food prep and serveware, Kool Limited introduced Lanterns, which are double walled ceramic bodies with rubber lids.
Zak’s line with Dr. Sears helps promote healthy eating among kids with fun products for mealtime.
In the World of Pet Supplies section, Li Lai Den introduced a pet spa bathtub.
Formerly a section within the Hong Kong Houseware Fair, the International Home Textiles Fair debuted this year as well, and included A-Fontane’s new iSimple eco-friendly bedding, made of organic cotton.—Andrea Lillo
