ROSEMONT, Ill.–The International Housewares Association has broadened its Web site to include new features revolving around social media.
New to the site are a blog, two Twitter accounts, a Facebook fan page, a YouTube account and LinkedIn groups. One Twitter account, @HousewaresShow, has been created specifically to help retail buyers and other attendees at the International Home & Housewares Show; while the other, @HousewaresAssoc, provides news and specific information for exhibitors at the show and other IHA members. The Facebook page enables Housewares Show attendees to register for badges and provides tools for exhibitors, along with videos, current industry events and other information.
The blog covers topics ranging from current housewares trends to tips for having a successful Housewares Show. In March, the blog will also give readers a behind-the-scenes view of the show.
