DALLAS–Twenty-five ARTs awards, along with the Academy of Achievement Award, were presented during the 21st Annual ARTs awards gala on Jan. 16. Taking place during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, the event saw more than 500 attendees and are given by the Dallas Market Center and the Accessories Resource Team.
In the manufacturers’ categories, the winners were: Palecek for accent furniture; Loloi Rugs for area rugs; Global Views for decorative accessories; Blissliving Home for home textiles; Visual Comfort & Co. for lighting fixtures; Seasonal Living for outdoor living; Distinctive Designs for permanent floral; Barbara Cosgrove Lamps for portable lamps; Beatriz Ball Collection for tabletop; and Paragon for wall decor.
In the sales representative categories, Brittain Cherry of Ogburn-Cherry & Associates won for the East/Atlantic region; Derrick Ricketts of Codarus for Midwest/Southwest; and Laura Fast of OneCoast/Homestyle for West.
Jason Phillips, The Phillips Collection, won the product designer award.
For the retail categories in furniture, Albert’s Interiors of Newton Square, Pa., was the East/Atlantic winner; HW Home, Boulder, Colo., the Midwest/Southwest winner; and Homescapes Carmel, Carmel, Calif., was the West winner. For home accent stores, Ambiance Interiors & Gifts, Suwanee, Ga., was the East/Atlantic regional winner; Burlap Horse, Boerne, Texas, the Midwest/Southwest winner; and Grace Home Furnishings, Los Angeles, the West winner. For lighting showrooms, Southern Lighting Gallery, Augusta, Ga., won for the East/Atlantic region; Light by Design, San Antonio, won for the Midwest/Southwest; and Western Montana Lighting, Missoula, Mont., for the West.
Ma Maison of Mexico City won the International Retail Store award, and Bravado Home & Design in Portland, Ore., received the Rising Star Retailer award. The Academy of Achievement Award was presented to Don McEvoy, founder of Don McEvoy and Associates.
