NEW YORKâAfter leaving the Bombay Company in 2007, William Hollands has returned as chief merchant of Bombay Brands LLC.
Hollands said the Bombay brand will be segmented into three sub-brands to target distinct markets: high-end department stores and specialty gift stores, mid-tier home retailers and mass/discount chains.
Hollands spent three and a half years at the Bombay Company, lastly as vice president of merchandising. His experience includes positions at Pier 1 Imports as well as founding his own Dallas-based retail company. Most recently, he was senior vice president of merchandising at furniture retailer American Signature.
Bombay Brands LLC was established in early 2008 through a joint venture of Hilco Consumer Capital and Gordon Brothers Brand to leverage the Bombay Company lifestyle concept.
