CHICAGO–The Panasonic Pro-Curve electric shaver has been awarded a Quality & Performance Mark from Intertek, a provider of testing and inspection services for products in a range of industries.
The designation was the result of a two-month consumer trial and survey, which monitored how consumer habits changed or remained the same after using the Pro-Curve. According to an Intertek statement, the study found that 90 percent of electric-shaver users would switch from their current brand to the Pro-Curve, and that 48 percent of those using manual shavers would also make the switch.
The shaver received the Quality & Performance Mark after it was evaluated for durability, functionality, lifecycle, usability and workmanship. Panasonic was seeking an independent, third-party evaluation of the Pro-Curve to provide a differentiator against their competitors for the launch of the shaver, Intertek said.
