LINDENHURST, N.Y.–Angelica “Angela” Allen, a veteran in home-textiles sourcing and product development, has died. She was 48.
Allen’s most recent position was with Robert Allen Design, where she served as director of sourcing in the company’s contract division.
She spent most of her career at WestPoint Home, joining the company in 1987 when it was known as WestPoint Pepperell. She was part of the original sourcing team when the company, which had changed its name to WestPoint Stevens, shifted from its domestic manufacturing to overseas sourcing.
She is survived by her husband, Michael, her son, John Michael; and her mother, Assunta Badamo.
