Following its introduction in Milan earlier this year, the new line of Diesel furniture and lighting is set to debut in the United States.
Diesel, which has made its mark in denim and other apparel and accessories, licensed two Italian companies to produce these new products: Foscarini for furniture and Moroso for lighting.
The lighting products, which Diesel said “speak of multitude of languages (and) express the Diesel style,” is divided into several groups. Graf takes its inspiration from music, while Rock is evocative of a split volcanic rock. Stud is highlighted by metal nails and chrome plating while Fork is inspired by the great outdoors and Cage takes it cue from old lanterns. Tri-p is meant to be a portable floor lamp that collapses into its own bag.
The line, which hits retail shelves in September and will be sold in select Diesel stores as well as other retailers, was created by the Diesel studio led by creative director Wilbert Das.
