BOCA RATON, Fla.–Jarden Corporation has reached a licensing agreement with Galanz, which will produce a line of Oster, Sunbeam and Rival branded microwave ovens.
The agreement “will allow us to expand into a range of microwave ovens, a natural evolution” for these Jarden brands, said Carlos Coroalles, Jarden’s vice president of global licensing. The ovens are targeted to reach major mass and specialty retailers.
Galanz is based in Shunde, China. Travis Kirwan, president of the company’s North America sales and marketing, said the deal combines “the strength and expertise of Galanz with world-class brands” and “allows us to better serve our retail partners.”
