NEW YORK–The International Furnishings and Design Association has made a monetary contribution to the Museum of Arts and Design.
In a special ceremony, Maureen Klein, 2008 president of IFDA’s New York chapter, presented a check to Barbara Tober, chairman of the museum’s board, and Holly Hotchner, director of the museum. Klein said IFDA’s mission to encourage good design was a key factor in bestowing the gift on the museum. Recently, the IFDA New York chapter honored the museum with its Big Apple award to commemorate the opening of its new location at Columbus Circle here.
The new location, into which the museum moved last October, measures 54,000 square feet or roughly triple that of its former space on 53rd Street.
