WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.–For this year’s edition, Surtex will move to Level 3, the main level of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, adjacent to the National Stationery Show and closer to the International Contemporary Furniture Fair.
Placing the show in this new site will make it “more visible than ever,” according to a statement from GLM, Surtex’s owner and manager. The new floor plan is designed to make the three events “a seamless venture for buyers and exhibitors alike, creating one highly focused, energetic marketplace,” the statement said. This year’s Surtex is scheduled from May 17 to May 19, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on all three days.
At previous shows, Surtex had been located in the Galleria/River Pavilion and Halls 1E to 3E at the Javits Center. Penny Sikalis, vice president and show manager, said Surtex exhibitors and attendees “have desired a contiguous floor plan for years.”
