FORT MILL, S.C. –Laura Ashley Inc. has granted licensing rights to Brazilian textiles manufacturer Artelassê Indústria e Comércio Ltda. to produce and distribute a collection of fashion bedding and bath products and table linens in select Latin American countries.
The collection will offer a range of casual, traditional and formal styles in bedding coordinates, including comforters, duvet covers, dust ruffles, sheets and decorative cushions, as well as a coordinating line of bath textiles and accessories. Additional home textiles will include tablecloths, napkins and placemats.
The collection is scheduled to launch at specialty and better retailers in spring 2009 and will be available in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Columbia, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
“The brand is loved for its original style inspired by the English countryside as well as its quality,” said Penne Cairoli, general manager of Laura Ashley, in a statement. “Having been well received in the U.K., U.S., Japan, and many countries across Europe, it was a natural step to expand the brand into Latin America.”
