UPPER SADDLE RIVER, N.J.–Hunter Douglas has agreed to make an annual contribution to the Arbor Day Foundation, which promotes conservation efforts for trees and forests.
The donation will go toward reforestation efforts for both trees and rain forests. Half of the donation will be directed toward replanting trees in the United States that were damaged in fires, and the other 50 percent will go toward the foundation’s rain-forest rescue program. The total amount of Hunter Douglas’ contribution will reflect the number of trees used annually to manufacture the company’s Heritance hardwood shutters and Country Woods and Chalet Woods wood blinds.
Hunter Douglas is also a national sponsor for Habitat for Humanity, the non-profit organization that builds houses for families in need.
