HOUSTON–Rowenta held its Iron-a-thon yesterday at the Houston Quilt Festival to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
More than 200 people participated, with each contestant donating $5 to enter the competition. Each participant displayed his or her skills at ironing a pink shirt. Also, Rowenta is selling its Pink Iron at the festival, with all of the profits going to the foundation.
This is the third year in which Rowenta has partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Last year, the company donated more than $114,000 to the charity.
