FREMONT, Calif.–JLA Home has reached an agreement with China-based Veken Group Holding for the exclusive distribution rights for Coral Fleece blankets.
A statement from JLA said Coral Fleece blankets are produced through a technology that is patented in China. Veken has successfully fought two attempts to infringe on the patent recently, which allows both companies to control the quality and integrity of the blankets, according to Dave Fraser, vice president of JLA’s blanket unit. “We can now support a consistent product with a strong national marketing campaign that will assure its long-term success,” Fraser said.
The two companies have been partners on other products in the past. They joined forces to develop Microtec, a trade-up option of Coral Fleece, which is under the same patent protection.
