CARY, N.C.–Janet Reed has been appointed associate director of environmental research at Cotton Incorporated.
In this position, a new one for the organization, Reed is responsible for assessing all phases of cotton production and processing, identifying research opportunities and conducting scientific outreach efforts with retailers. She will also serve as a representative of the cotton production/manufacturing industry to the public. She reports to Kater Hake, vice president of agricultural research.
Before joining Cotton Incorporated, Reed was regulatory affairs manager for cotton traits at Syngenta Biotechnology. She has also served in research and scientific positions at Texas A&M University and Allied Corp.
