NEW YORK–Continuing to beef up its senior ranks, Bloomingdale’s named Frank Berman vice president of marketing. Berman was most recently senior vice president of marketing for the tony department store chain.
In his new role, Berman succeeds Lisa Gavales, who left Bloomingdale’s in December.
He will continue to report to Tony Spring, who was named president and chief operating officer in February.
Berman now adds marketing strategy, analytics, advertising production, image editing, account services, marketing finance and restaurants to his responsibilities, in addition to customer loyalty, relationship management, international marketing, campaign planning and advertising media.
Berman joined Bloomingdale’s in 1991 as an executive trainee. He rose through the ranks in various buying and business manager positions in the home furnishings division.
Berman’s subsequent posts include operating vice president of marketing for loyalty, international marketing, campaign planning and advertising media. Berman was named vice president in 2003.
