NEW YORK–ABC Home is set to open Herman Miller Environment, a shop-in-shop installation featuring pieces exclusive to ABC Home.
The co-venture finds eight of Herman Miller’s most popular pieces upholstered in fabrics from Maharam that are unique to these pieces. The patterns and color schemes provide a modern flair to the classic items that were traditionally used as office furniture. In keeping with ABC Home’s dedication to the preservation of the environment, the Maharam fabrics have been certified by the Greenguard Environmental Institute.
Herman Miller Environment is scheduled to open on May 15 on the second floor of the company’s flagship Broadway location. The company said it will be the platform for which ABC Home launches a cradle-to-cradle program, beginning with the Aeiron, Mirra and Cella chairs.
