DUBLIN, Ireland–Moira Gavin has been named president and chief executive officer of the Royal Doulton/Wedgwood Ceramics Group, according to an announcement from parent company Waterford Wedgwood PLC.
Gavin is the CEO of Wedgwood, the sister company of Royal Doulton/Wedgwood Ceramics Group. She takes the role of Wayne Nutbeen, who has resigned to pursue other business interests, the company said.
“Moira has a key role to play as we put together the team to take this firm to profitability,” said David Sculley, chief executive officer of Waterford Wedgwood PLC, a post he assumed earlier this month. “Within this new structure, our great brands, including Royal Doulton and Wedgwood, will continue to maintain their separate and unique identities.”
