SPOKANE, Wash.–Zak Designs has been nominated for an International Licensing Excellence Award from the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA) for its line of mealtime products featuring Disney Princess. One of Zak’s most popular licenses, the company restaged the Disney Princess line last year, and took a fresh look at the line from a product development and sales and marketing perspective. The resulting collection was placed in more retail doors, the company said, and had a higher sales volume than any other license in the company’s portfolio, making it its most successful restage ever.
“There was a tremendous amount of thought, effort, and resources put behind the Princess restage in 2007,” said Irv Zakheim, president and chief executive officer, Zak Designs. “To be recognized by LIMA for the hard work that everyone at Zak put into this restage is extremely rewarding for all of us.”
