NEW YORK–Kevin Jareck, senior vice president of sales and marketing, and Bruce Nichol, senior vice president of product development and design, are taking on the day-to-day management responsibilities over Dan River Home Fashions, in the wake of the departure of Herb Briggs, president of the home fashions division.
According to a company statement, no immediate successor has been named for Briggs. Nor has the company yet commented on a search process for his successor. Both Jareck and Nichol report directly to Michael Flatow, Dan River’s chief executive officer.
Briggs will become management partner with Hunt Private Equity Group, which oversees a portfolio of consumer-oriented products and services companies, and which is an affiliate of Hunt Investment Corp. of Dallas. Among Briggs’ roles in his new position is CEO of Ginsey Industries, a manufacturer of housewares, bath and juvenile products; and director of Universal Cos., a distributor of spa products, supplies and equipment.
