DELRAY BEACH, Fla.–Office Depot, one of the largest retailers of home office supplies and ready-to-assemble furniture, was honored as among the top 25 firms in the forefront of advancing women in business. The honor was bestowed by the National Association for Female Executives.
Monica Luechtefeld, Office Depot’s executive vice president of supply chain and information technology, said this morning that the retailer was specifically noted for “commitment to its own associates, as well as consistently listening to its customers—the majority of which are female—and providing them with the tools and solutions to help them succeed in business.”
She added that women comprised three of the chain’s executives. Four women are on the board.
