WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.–Global Home Textiles and Global Home Decor, the two GLM global home-furnishings trade shows, will present a conference program that will deal with sourcing-related topics in home furnishings when the two shows take place this coming May.
The two shows are scheduled for May 6-8 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.
The conferences will be presented by GLM and produced by NEXCO, a non-profit association that produces seminars on trade issues. The program begins with a preshow Webinar that will address a variety of issues for overseas companies exhibiting at the shows, including working with U.S. companies, cross-cultural business etiquette and channels of distribution. Attendee seminars during the shows will deal with current government regulations, quotas, free-trade agreements, compliance considerations and mandates, and best practices in choosing and working with offshore suppliers.
All of the sessions will take place in the Conference Forum within the exhibit hall, and are open to all show participants. Country-spotlight sessions will be held on Tuesday, May 6, and are complimentary. The four NEXCO-produced sessions will take place on Wednesday, May 7, and Thursday, May 8, and are $75 each in advance and $85 onsite. GLM has also made available a full conference package for $250 in advance and $300 onsite.
