NORTH CALDWELL, N.J.–A new foundation to battle obesity and type 2 diabetes will launch this weekend at the International Home & Housewares Show. Called PEAPOD—which stands for Parents, Educators, Awareness, Prevent, Obesity and type 2 Diabetes—the foundation will focus on research, awareness and educational programs in schools, and will be in the South Hall, booth number 3906.
“In addition to awareness and fundraising events for research, we are going to create a line of products that incorporates our philosophy—everything green, everything that relates to good health,” said Lisa Marx, founder. The foundation will also look to “jointly create national marketing campaigns with key retailers around the world.”
During the show, PEAPOD will host a “Fruit-Tail” party in the booth from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday.
