NEW YORK–NexCen Brands, which acquired the Waverly brand in 2007, has renewed the brand’s licensing agreements with C.R. Gibson LLC and The McCalls Pattern Co.
The C.R. Gibson license is for stationery products, gift wrap and accessories, paper tableware, desk accessories, kitchen-related stationery and paper gift products, and was described in a NexCen statement as Waverly’s longest vendor relationship, having started in 1989. The McCalls license covers home-decor designs and accessories sold through the company’s Butterick catalog.
Each of these agreements has been renewed for three years. All of the Waverly partner contracts that expired when NexCen bought the brand last year have now been renewed, NexCen said.
