LEXINGTON, Ky.–John A. Heil has been elected to the board of directors of Tempur-Pedic, the nation’s fifth-largest mattress manufacturer.
Heil’s appointment expands the Tempur-Pedic board to nine members. P. Andrews McLane, the board’s chairman, cited Heil’s “depth of operational and strategic experience” from his career with a number of branded consumer products companies. Currently, Heil serves as president and co-chief operating officer of Spectrum Brands’ global pet supplies unit.
Heil has also held executive positions with H.J. Heinz Co. and United Pet Group.
