NEW YORK–Sal Rianna has been appointed chief operating officer of Frette North America.
Rianna assumes charge over the company’s operations and finance, and will be involved in strategic planning as well in this newly created position. He reports directly to Paul Raffin, chief executive officer of Frette Group, the parent of the North American unit.
Before joining Frette, Rianna was vice president of finance and operations for the DKNY brand of Donna Karan Co. He had been with Donna Karan since 2000. Prior to that, he had served in executive positions with GFT (USA), including posts with that company’s Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein and Emanuel Ungaro divisions.
