WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.–U.S. retail buyers and merchandisers attended both Home Textiles Market Week and Ex-tracts “in force” during their recent runs, according to a statement from George Little Management [GLM], the owner and manager of both shows.
The combination of Home Textiles Market Week with the New York International Gift Fair, also a GLM show, was a key factor in the textiles show’s success, said Penny Sikalis, GLM’s vice president. In addition, the “depth and breadth of luxury home-fashion resources” offered at the show provided many opportunities for attendees, Sikalis said. The textiles show ran from Jan. 31 to Feb. 7.
The integration of Ex-tracts into the gift fair brought “overwhelmingly positive response” from both exhibitors and attendees, according to a separate GLM statement. Ex-tracts ran from Feb. 2 to Feb. 6. Because of this, a number of exhibitors moved from the gift fair to Ex-tracts, GLM said.
