ST. LOUIS–Ralph Scozzafava today was appointed chief executive officer of Furniture Brands International, succeeding W.G. “Mickey” Holliman, who will remain as chairman until May 1.
The move follows a plan that Furniture Brands announced when Scozzafava was named vice chairman in June. Scozzafava had been vice chairman of Furniture Brands’ board, and chief executive officer-designate since last June. He had been with the company upon its acquisition of Lane Furniture Industries in 1987. Formerly, he served as a vice president of the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co.
