CHICAGO–MMPI announced that Jenay Root has been named Director of Leasing for its L.A. Mart Gift Show. In her new position with MMPI, Root will play an integral role in all of the leasing and sales activity for the L.A. Mart Gift.
Prior to joining the L.A. Mart, Root held several positions with dmg world media, an organizer of exhibitions, trade shows, events and conferences. Root began her career at dmg as the marketing manager for the California Gift Show, and subsequently, moved into sales, relaunching the Fashion Accessories division and managing Gifts, Etc., the largest section of the show. Later, she added the Handmade and Personal Style divisions of the Seattle Gift Show to the mix, and in 2007 was promoted to Show Manager of the Seattle Gift Show.
“We feel that Jenay’s diverse background in tradeshows, sales and leasing will be an invaluable addition to not only the L.A.
