NEW YORK–Carole Dixon, the longtime senior vice president and director of showroom building 41 Madison, has announced her plans to retire.
“I decided it’s time,” she said. Dixon has no plans to go onto anything else other than her family. “You couldn’t do anything better than this,” she told HFN.
Rudin Management, owners of 41 Madison, has hired executive search firm Equinox Partners to find Dixon’s successor. Dixon will remain in place until a new director is appointed, and will help that person through the transition.
In a letter to the tenants of 41 Madison and others in the tabletop industry, Dixon, who has been with the building for nearly 30 years, said, “As you might imagine, reaching this conclusion did not come easily or in haste as I pondered taking this next step in my life. … I’ve had the privilege to work with the best of the best in retailing, tableware manufacturing and publishing, and for the wealth of knowledge they have shared with me, I will be ever grateful.”
