SAUSALITO, Calif.–Heath Ceramics, one of California’s last remaining midcentury-era potteries, has launched a Web site that supports craft-based communities and artisans, while educating visitors about the ceramics company through virtual factory tours, extensive content and a blog section where visitors can share personal experiences about Heath pottery. The site also includes a Web store with the ability to ship internationally, as well as an online gift registry.
“Heath Ceramics’ new Web site reinforces our values in a way that is vital and relevant,” said Catherine Bailey, founder and creative director. “Going forward, our Web site may be the first point of contact for many visitors. It is a powerful tool for us in communicating what visitors will experience, even before they have set foot in our factory.”
