MATTHEWS, N.C.-Donna Barker has been promoted to the newly created position of vice president-merchandising and general merchandise manager of Family Dollar.
Barker, who joined the company in 2003 as division vice president-home, retains her responsibilities in that post over the soft-home and home-decor product categories, and adds new responsibilities in terms of overseeing relationships with vendors and the company’s buyers. She reports to Mike Kvitko, senior vice president-merchandising.
Prior to joining Family Dollar, Barker had served as divisional merchandise manager of Belk Department Stores.
