BOCA RATON, Fla.–David Sides, president of Hollander Home Fashions, will retire from the company on Sept. 30.
Sides, who joined Hollander in 1994, is responsible for the company’s sales and merchandising operations. A Hollander statement said a search for Sides’ replacement has begun. In the meantime, Chris Baker, who became chief executive officer in May, will assume day-to-day leadership of the company’s sales team, and Beth Mack, chief merchandising officer, will continue her responsibility over product development, reporting to Baker.
Sides began his career at Hollander as business director in charge of sales and marketing for bed pillows, feather and down comforters, and other related products. In 1996, he was promoted to senior vice president of sales, and in 1997, he was named president of basic bedding. He became the company’s president in 2006.
