DALLAS–Mattress Giant has named Armando Murillo vice president of merchandising.
Murillo succeeds Errol Lebowitz, who retired in November.
Murillo is responsible for identifying new merchandising initiatives through manufacturers that already have products in the stores and those that are prospective partners. He also oversees the company’s Web site, store product offerings and other merchandise-related programs. He reports to Barrie Brown, chief executive officer.
Before joining Mattress Giant, Murillo was vice president of sales for the southern United States and Latin America regions for Palliser Furniture. He has also held key positions with Sealy and Serta.
